How does it work?
Outbound is available as an MCP server, exposing the ability to make calls and get call metadata, including their transcripts. Using your favorite MCP client, such as Claude or ChatGPT, you can use Outbound in combination with other MCP servers, such as calendar, to make calls and read, or summarize, their transcripts.
What platforms are supported?
Any MCP client can use Outbound, including but not limited to: ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, Cursor.
Do you have a free tier/trial?
We don't currently offer a free tier or trial at the moment. At $1/call, you can try the service before you buy at low-cost.
How does customer support work?
Pay-as-you-go plan includes email support with replies typically within 1 business day. Enterprise customers get dedicated support with 4 hour response times with Slack-based support.
What happens after I join the waitlist?
We're onboarding users in batches throughout Q1 of 2026. You will receive setup instructions on how to setup Outbound with your MCP client within the coming weeks.
Does the AI identify itself as AI during the call?
Yes, the AI identifies itself as your AI assistant calling on your behalf at the start of each call. When you create a new call, you provide the AI with a call prompt as an input while Outbound specifies the system instructions. Enterprise customers may also customize the AI's systems instructions.
What happens if a call reaches voicemail?
Outbound's AI will leave a voicemail message and terminate the call when it's done.
Will I be charged if the call fails?
If the Outbound call fails before connecting (e.g. API error, invalid number), you won't be charged, but if the call connects briefly or the carrier routes it to voicemail or an error voice message, you will be charged for that instance.
Are the calls private and secure?
Calls and transcripts are encrypted. Transcripts are retained for 30 days. We do not sell your data.
Is an API available?
Outbound is provided as a hosted remote MCP server. Additionally, API access is available to Enterprise customers.
Can it handle phone menus?
Yes, Outbound will be able to handle interactive voice response (IVR) systems or other phone menus automatically at launch.
What number shows up on the caller ID?
Calls appear from a verified US number, not flagged as spam. Enterprise customers can bring their own phone numbers.
What happens at the 5 minute call duration limit?
By default, calls are terminated at the 5 minute mark if the AI or callee has not hung up already. Enterprise customers may enjoy calls with unlimited duration at at an additional per-minute rate.
